Connect GTM Goat to Grok

Grok attaches your own MCP servers through connectors. You enter the endpoint URL and Grok discovers the server's tools itself.

What you can do with it

  • Read your own GTM data: tables, companies, leads, replies
  • Create and check sequences and enrol leads
  • Start workflows and agents, testable beforehand with a dry run
  • Pull metrics: funnel, campaigns, costs

Prerequisite: endpoint and key

You need the endpoint URL and your workspace key. You find the key under Extensions in the web app at app.cegtec.net. The URL is the password: whoever has it has access to the workspace. Keep it out of public repositories and chats.

The server must be reachable over the public internet; the endpoint at app.cegtec.net is. In Grok Business and Enterprise a team admin first adds the connector in the xAI console (Grok Business → Connectors → Add Connector → Other); members then connect it at grok.com/connectors. Source: docs.x.ai/grok/connectors.

Connect step by step

  1. At grok.com/connectors choose New Connector, then Custom (in the admin console: Other).

  2. Paste the full endpoint URL as the MCP server URL and complete any sign-in that is shown.

    https://app.cegtec.net/api/mcp/IHR_SCHLUESSEL

Replace IHR_SCHLUESSEL with your workspace key.

Is it running?

A good first call is explain_system. The tool returns the system model as structured JSON. If it answers, the connection is up.

Example prompts

  • Call explain_system and tell me in five sentences what is possible in my workspace.
  • List my sequences and show me with get_campaign_stats which one earns the most replies.
  • Use find_companies to find ten companies that fit my ideal customer profile. Do not enrol anyone before I approve.

Approvals and cost caps still apply

Approvals, workspace isolation and cost caps are enforced on the server. They apply regardless of which agent connects.
